#5DirtyYears (released on February 19, 2021) marked the 5th anniversary of the Clean Food Dirty Girl Plant Fueled Meal Plans! We celebrated this delicious milestone with a yummy mash-up of the very first two Meal Plans from February 2016. Let’s raise a glass and toast with a bonus non-alcoholic bubbly recipe and a dessert to top off the week!

For those of us who’ve been in the Dirty neighborhood for a while, we know that in the beginning, while the food was fabulous and full of flavor, the Meal Plan classroom was basic. In the beginning, our Meal Plans consisted of a simple weekly PDF that our subscribers could download.

That was until we found the amazing power couple, Magalie Allard and Carl Bolduc who took the classroom and developed it into the work of art it is today. Here’s a video from the archives with the backstory of our classroom development. So much fun!

When I started with CFDG, I swore I would never, ever make hummus. Why the hell would I make something that I can easily buy??? I have food intolerances and have to make so much—fuck making extra stuff…

I said no way am I ever making hummus…

I just made the quick hummus from Simple5DirtyYears and it’s creamier than any hummus I have purchased EVER. And EASY! I don’t think I’m ever going back!

Just wanted to say thank you for the Simple Meal Plans! I batched Simple5DirtyYears today. I’m 29-weeks pregnant with twins and have found it so hard to find the energy/stamina to batch. I had started batching before I got pregnant, but then morning sickness and fatigue set in. My husband was mostly in charge of food, so we have been eating a lot of take-out. It felt so good to batch and eat a delicious, healthy meal tonight. It took me a little over 2 hours to batch the Simple plan this week.

I just ate the Simple Dirty Girl Bowl from the Simple5DirtyYears Meal Plan tonight. Oh my gosh, it was wonderful. In previous plans, they’ve frequently had hummus as part of the bowl of the week, but I was always like, “You’ve got to be kidding me!” and never added it. Well, this week, I included the hummus as the recipe directed, and I finally had a mouthgasm! The whole bowl was just scrumptious. Thanks #TeamDirty for kicking ass and taking names in the flavor department.

I’m back on the batch wagon! I had been dabbling in the [retired] Recipe subscription and freestyling for a bit! The Simple Meal Plans were brilliant for us this weekend! My husband had to go on a big road trip to see his Mom. Food dessert up there. So, I made the Simple5DirtyYears plus a batch of chili on Saturday. Packed it in coolers, gave him the instructions, and he’s got all his meals for the week.

I cannot thank CFDG enough for the new Simple Meal Plans!!! I needed this so much! I made Simple5DirtyYears this week…it is SO good, and just what we needed! I didn’t time myself and stopped a few times to eat lunch and get kids off the bus, but I’d say it took maybe 2 hours, including clean up… It was very simple to batch and a reasonable amount of time to spend in the kitchen. I also really appreciate how quick and easy it is to bring the meals together each night with [little or] no additional cooking each day. Halfway through the dirty girl bowl, my husband said, “I don’t want this meal to end, it’s so good!” I just cannot thank you enough!
