How My 79-Year-Old Mom Became Our Gardener
By Molly Patrick
Dec 24, 2022,
Well, it’s happened. My 79-year-old mom is our new gardener.
She lives in a condo without much garden space, and she’s been wanting to get her hands in the dirt. We have some outside areas at our house that need some love, so we offered to pay her to help. She said, “Yes! I will be there Monday at 7:30 am!”
How does she do it?
- She has followed a plant-based diet since the 90s.
- She keeps her body moving.
- She meditates almost daily.
Let this be a lesson to all of us that we can make lifestyle choices that will help us age with ease and grace.
Not only is aging this way amazing for the individual, but it also has a positive impact on those around us.
What a joy it is to have my mom happily working in our yard.
Many factors are at play as we age, and all kinds of things can happen regardless of how much kale we eat. But giving ourselves the best shot at a long, healthy, and enjoyable life is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves and our families.
If you’re looking for a gift for yourself or someone you love, registration for my 2023 Plant Fueled Reset is open until January 2nd. Secure your spot today and take a load off, knowing you’ll be doing everything you can to age gracefully starting in January.
