Traveling While Plant Based and Gluten-Free in Namibia

The next day we drove 4.5 hours to Sesriem where we stayed at a place called Desert Camp for two nights. This was the most quiet, vast, empty, lonely place I’ve ever been. It was uncomfortable. But it was also one of my favorite experiences of the whole trip, which was weird. I talk about it in detail in episode 28 of the Clean Food Dirty Girl podcast.
This was one of a few places we stayed with an accessible kitchen. There was a fridge, sink, kettle, and two electric burners. I was so happy to have a kitchen for a couple of days. I was even happier we stocked up on groceries back in Windhoek because there was nothing, and I mean nothing, around for hours in any direction.
