quick basil sauce (oil free)

Quick Plant Based Basil Sauce (oil-free)

Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz/425 g) can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed (can sub any other white bean)
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves, left whole (40 g)
  • ½ cup water (120 ml)
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Place all of the ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth and super creamy.
  • Use on pasta, in bowls, or as a salad dressing.
