Why you’ll love using Instacart with Meal Plan Club

⏱️ Saves time: No more trying to fit a trip to the grocery store into your already busy schedule. Now you can skip the grocery store altogether!

🤓 Saves stress: No more last-minute runs to the store for missing ingredients, or going to multiple stores to find everything. You can get everything you need in just a few clicks.

📝 Avoid overspending: Say goodbye to temptation on aisle nine. Instacart helps you buy only what you need. This is perfect for those of us who struggle with impulse buys or finding ourselves eyeing kitchenware instead of sticking to the produce section.

♿ Accessibility and convenience: Whether you’re juggling kids, resting a sore back, or having transportation troubles, Instacart brings your plants to your doorstep.

💃 Get your weekend back: Use the time you would’ve spent shopping to get your batching done early!

You’ll need an Instacart account to use this feature, but once you’re set up, it’s smooth sailing.

How it works with recipes

  • Open any recipe in the portal.
  • Tap the “Get Recipe Ingredients” button.
  • Instacart will open with your items pre-loaded.
  • Choose your favorite grocery store, review the items, and uncheck any items you already have.
  • Add them to your cart and let Instacart deliver them right to your doorstep.
  • Want to shop for more than one recipe? Head back to the portal, find more recipes you’d like to make, and shop for all of them in one go. Or, make a Magic Meal Plan with said recipes to have one seamless grocery list and check off items you already have before sending your list to Instacart.

I am not familiar w/Instacartx I heard it’s a bit expensive. But my inquiry is pertaining to the customer grocery items I add to my weekly list (love that CFDG option). I do all my shopping once a week so other items are needed as well. Does Instacart allow me to add those extra items from their function to add to what the portal synced to it?

It won’t automatically add your custom items from the portal, but you can easily add them to your Instacart order yourself before finalizing it. Pricing will depend on where you live, whether you’re an Instacart member, and the delivery options you choose. Hope this helps! Feel free to shoot us an email if you have more questions.

Sounds like this will be a great option for anyone who wants an extra hour or so back during the week!

FYI, since I started closely tracking grocery prices a few months ago, I’ve noticed that Instacart adds about 10% to the prices found in the store. Even if you order enough to get free delivery, you’ll also be expected to tip the person who delivers your order. I may still use this option for weeks when I’m short on time or not feeling well, but I wanted to make sure that anyone pinching pennies is aware of the extra cost.

Thank you, Team Dirty, for constantly coming up with ways to improve the portal! I absolutely could not live without it.

We’re super excited about the update! You’re correct about the surcharge. It can vary based on location, but Instacart does add a small premium to the items.

      Thanks for the love!
