What are the biggest changes you've noticed since eating more Whole Food Plant Based?
The biggest changes are that I'm feeling so much better, my self confidence is up, and I'm looking better in my clothes. I have lost 20 lbs. since April 2016 and my blood work is awesome. BP is down and so is cholesterol. My ankles aren't swollen anymore. I had to buy new clothes!
What do you know now about food and eating that you wish you knew a long time ago?
I know that I can enjoy eating WFPB, and not be hungry or craving anything. The recipes are totally easy and delicious. I don't have to 'diet' anymore, because it's my life now. You just have to eat this way and everything happens naturally. It's a win, win.
Is it safe to say that changing your diet has changed your life? Tell us about it!
OMG yes. I am 68 years old and I feel healthy for the first time in a long while. After all this time, I'm excited about what I'm cooking and all the meals that come with it. Who thought I'd be eating beans everyday! I used to have chronic diarrhea, not anymore.
I tried so many 'diets', especially Weight Watcher's. I would lose the weight, but I was always hungry, and I always gained the weight back. I used to say, "to hell with it, why should I care what I eat". But I felt terrible.
I am only 5'1" and I knew something had to happen when I started going over 180 lbs. I felt ashamed. Then I found Molly!
What role did Molly and Clean Food Dirty Girl play in helping you get to where you are now?
Molly is so inspirational, you just have to do what she recommends. Her recipes are wonderful and tasty. Molly gives you ideas on what to buy, how to prepare it and how to store it. She makes it so easy. I will be a 'Dirty Girl' for a long time!
