Whole Food Plant Based (WFPB) & Related FAQs
What makes your recipes so clean?
The majority of our recipes are Whole-Food Plant Based, meaning plant foods in their whole form, not processed. It’s basically vegan food, but without oil or anything else processed.
Do you eat WFPB?
I follow a WFPB diet the majority of the time. I don’t do it 100% because I like Chinese food way too much to ban oil for the rest of my life. I do follow a vegan diet all the time, apart from when I travel overseas, and then I eat fish and eggs on occasion, but of course I prefer not to. But I don’t want to be that ungrateful American who disrespects the host by not eating.
What does WFPB stand for?
It stands for Whole-Food Plant-Based
What’s the difference between eating a vegan diet and eating a WFPB diet?
Glad you asked! I wrote a blog post about just that. Read it here.
So, you’re a hypocrite because there are some recipes on your blog that have oil and / or sugar in them. I thought you were all about oil and sugar free. What digs?
You caught us, you thorough reader, you! Some of our older recipes have oil and / or sugar in them. We thought about taking them down when we switched our focus to WFPB recipes, but we decided to leave them up to fuck with you. Ha! Totally kidding.
We actually left them up because not everyone who comes to our site is looking specifically for WFPB recipes. And while the majority of our recipes are oil and sugar free, sometimes people just need to eat pie.
Why do you use so many swear words. I find them offensive and I think you would have more fans if you used more polite language.
You could be right, but this is how I talk to my friends (and even my parents). I made a commitment to be 100% authentic and honest in my communication, and this is just the way I roll. There are lots of other healthy food bloggers that don’t talk like a sailor, I’m just not one of them. I wrote a blog post on this topic. You can read more about it here if you want.
I want you to speak at an event I’m coordinating. Can you do that?
I would be happy to speak at your event. Email me and tell me the scoop. [email protected]
