This was amazing, Molly. I’ve heard you say this before. However, “when the student is ready, the teacher appears.” And, this time, I THINK I’m ready. I had a jar I put pennies in when I tried this once before, per your suggestions. But, I put the jar up and forgot about it. Now, I’m going to try again.
I really connected with your point about not being afraid of the urges. I think that’s it. I don’t know why I have been afraid but it likely doesn’t matter why. It just matters that I was scared I’d be hungry, or left out of a social activity or just not respected for being different. I’m going to continue to meditate on the fear associated with the cravings as well as the location of the fear.
